International Festival Davis Artist Liaison Project
The International Festival Davis is an annual project of International House Davis celebrating cultural awareness and belonging. The festival is a day-long celebration of community in Davis’ Central Park featuring music and dance, food, craft activities, artisan wares, and information booths. International House’s vision of creating a space for art, cultivating cultural equity, joy, and civic dialogue inspired the central question for the artist liaison project, “How can we deepen and center the contexts, histories, and meanings of artistic expressions beyond a one-day performance festival?” The project engages these questions in collaborative documentation and feedback processes with festival artists, teachers, and organizers.
